THE BATTERY
The DCS Low Draw (LD) battery is an ideal choice when making the leap into the world of Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries for the first time.
This LFP battery has the same advantages in weight, performance, reliability and service life as the fully featured DCS batteries but we are able to offer it at a significantly more accessible price point by not incorporating a Bluetooth module.
If the need for Bluetooth App monitoring of the battery is less essential, if let’s say for example that you are installing the battery in a system that already has external battery monitoring capabilities, then a significant cost saving can be made by omitting the Bluetooth functionality.
This battery is of course still equipped with the DCS 3S high performance BMS and CMS that manages and protects the battery cell pack from over charge, over discharge and short circuit events and provides active balancing of the cylindrical cells.
THE CYCLE PERFORMANCE
This battery is rated to achieve a minimum of 2000 cycles @ 100% DOD (when ≤ 80% of its original capacity retention has been reached @ 77F). That means that this battery is rated to achieve at least 2000 cycles by the time it has faded 20% from its original capacity, that is, when ≤ 80% of its original capacity retention has been reached.
