Streamliner 1250 Hard Shell (47″ Twin)

Comfortable yet compact, the Streamliner 1250 Roof Top Tent is the Ridgeback’s smaller sibling. Featuring the same tough aluminium design and build, but with a much lighter weight and low profile, the Streamliner is arguably the best of both worlds.

Featuring the same design and build quality as the other Ridgeback tents, the streamliner packs down to a slimmer height, 34% lower than Ridgeback HighRize roof top tents and half the height of most soft-shell folding tents.

Inside you’ll find walls made from Darche’s tough and light-weight 280gsm ripstop canvas and a comfortable memory foam mattress with included anti-condensation mat. There’s even room for your Cold Mountain 1100 sleeping bag when the tent is closed! Additionally, a built in LED light that can be switched between white and orange and dimmed to suit the mood. With multiple ventilation points and 3 access doors, the Streamliner can be adapted to almost any vehicle or trailer configuration.

Getting in and out is a breeze with the easily attached telescopic ladder, and the removable fly helps keep the weather at bay as you’re getting in or out of the tent. The included storage bags slide on just outside the entrance, meaning your shoes won’t be wet and soggy or on the ground when you need to head outside, and your tent stays nice and tidy. You’ll also be able to keep your personal effects organized thanks to the included storage netting panel.

Accessories can be mounted via the channels on all sides of the tent, including Darche’s own awning brackets, to a maximum of 75lbs. Need to carry a kayak? Add roof rails and expand your options!

WHERE IT ALL BEGAN

In 1991, Darche revolutionised the traditional swag market with the introduction of the Dome style swag. DARREN O’DWYER, the founder of Darche with his wife CHERYL (DAR-CHE), embarked on an eastern Australia journey. Wanting a shelter arrangement that was quick, practical and easy to stow, Darren used his imagination and created a canvas shell with fibreglass poles and the dome style swag was born. Darren realised he required a suitable and purpose-built factory arrangement in order to suffice demand. Using Australian supply chain partners, Darche became the leading swag and canvas converter in Australia

Today Darche is proudly owned by the Charles Parsons Group who have been actively involved for over 20 years in supplying textile and trim componentry to Darche. Charles Parsons are the largest textile wholesaler in the Southern Hemisphere with offices in every capital city of Australia, including offices in Fiji, Auckland and Shanghai. The day-to-day running of Darche occurs in a warehouse facility based in Thomastown, Victoria with a site area of more than 40,000m2. Darche is overseen by experienced textile product developers, business strategists and passionate staff who are keen outdoor enthusiasts with sound knowledge and experience to match.

WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT?

Darche’s growth and shortage of experienced canvas converters and local machinists, has seen Darche establish reputable off shore assembly and supply chain partners. Operating from four major plants purposely selected and audited by Darche. Machinists, assemblers, finishers, tool makers and QA/QC supervisors are included in our required workforce of over 180 people over our four plants. It is vitally important to note Darche do not use Trading Houses or vertical arrangements off shore to source product. We at Darche develop all product prototypes in Australia and are involved from concept through to market release. Utilising Charles Parsons accredited laboratories and leading processes, all developments are then vigorously tested at the Thomastown facility and again in real life situations by developers.
