Details
Enjoy some extra shelter on your next open road adventure with a Roof Top Tent Annex. Designed to suit either a Hi-View or Panorama 1600 Roof Top Tent, annexes provide plenty of space for changing, storage, sleeping and shelter from the weather. Simply attach the annex to the base of your RTT with the sail track zips, and you’re set for all conditions. With three sizes available, there’s an annex to suit just about any RTT mounting height.
There are multiple entries on all annex sizes, giving you unlimited access no matter where you pull up, including a rear opening so you can get to your vehicle without stepping outside. If you want some extra shade, it’s easy to convert the privacy doors into awnings by adding telescopic alloy poles and guy ropes (not included)
Like all Darche gear, annexes are made from high-quality 210D ripstop polyester oxford – they can hold their own in harsh environments. They also feature a 550gsm water-resistant PVC removable bucket floor with adjustable corner points. All doorways are dual-zippered with superfine insect mesh doors that will give you plenty of ventilation while keeping the critters at bay.
SIZING NOTES: Every vehicle is different, so in order to select the right annex for your RTT setup you’ll need to measure from the underside of your RTT (when it’s fully set up on flat, level surface) to the ground. Then, select an annex based on the measurements listed below. As a guideline, the annex +/-10cm from your RTT height is best.
- 1.60m drop is ideal for truck bed mounted tents, or low trailers, and has one entrance, two additional windows, plus a vehicle-side access. Ideal for 1.50-1.70m RTT measurement
- 1.80m drop is suitable for small/low RTT mounting, and has three entrances, plus a vehicle-side access. Ideal for 1.60-1.90m RTT measurement
- 2.10m drop is perfect for high-up mounting on large vehicles, and has three entrances, plus a vehicle-side access. Ideal for 1.90-2.20m RTT measurement
- Can be stored inside the RTT transit cover on Hi-View models
- Creates additional shade, storage and shelter options for your rooftop tent set up
- Compatible with the Hi-View or Panorama 1600 RTT sail track and zip attachment
- Dual-zippered privacy and super-fine insect doors
- Privacy doors convert to awnings with telescopic alloy poles (sold separately)
- Removable waterproof bucket floor with adjustable corner anchoring points
- Includes storage bag
Note: 1.60m Annexes have two openings – one toward and one away from the vehicle.

WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
In 1991, Darche revolutionised the traditional swag market with the introduction of the Dome style swag. DARREN O’DWYER, the founder of Darche with his wife CHERYL (DAR-CHE), embarked on an eastern Australia journey. Wanting a shelter arrangement that was quick, practical and easy to stow, Darren used his imagination and created a canvas shell with fibreglass poles and the dome style swag was born. Darren realised he required a suitable and purpose-built factory arrangement in order to suffice demand. Using Australian supply chain partners, Darche became the leading swag and canvas converter in Australia
Today Darche is proudly owned by the Charles Parsons Group who have been actively involved for over 20 years in supplying textile and trim componentry to Darche. Charles Parsons are the largest textile wholesaler in the Southern Hemisphere with offices in every capital city of Australia, including offices in Fiji, Auckland and Shanghai. The day-to-day running of Darche occurs in a warehouse facility based in Thomastown, Victoria with a site area of more than 40,000m2. Darche is overseen by experienced textile product developers, business strategists and passionate staff who are keen outdoor enthusiasts with sound knowledge and experience to match.
OUR PROMISE
We are passionate, dynamic and keen. We enjoy the same lifestyle choices as our consumers. We strive to provide our consumers the very best value, reliability and service and most importantly we recognise the trust they place on us. We welcome our consumer’s feedback both positive and negative and promise to keep delivering whilst listening. We are mindful of our vulnerable environment and build our products to last the journey. We encourage life time use and if over the years it requires attention, even if it is a discontinued product, we endeavour to find a solution, on a best effort basis, to have it back and performing for you.
WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT?
Darche’s growth and shortage of experienced canvas converters and local machinists, has seen Darche establish reputable off shore assembly and supply chain partners. Operating from four major plants purposely selected and audited by Darche. Machinists, assemblers, finishers, tool makers and QA/QC supervisors are included in our required workforce of over 180 people over our four plants. It is vitally important to note Darche do not use Trading Houses or vertical arrangements off shore to source product. We at Darche develop all product prototypes in Australia and are involved from concept through to market release. Utilising Charles Parsons accredited laboratories and leading processes, all developments are then vigorously tested at the Thomastown facility and again in real life situations by developers.
