Eclipse 270/180 Retreat Annex

The versatile Eclipse Retreat Annex is the perfect add-on to your Darche 270 or 180 Awning and ideal for your next open road adventure. It suspends from your awning to add a flexible and multi-use shelter to your camp setup. Use it as overnight shelter for swags, a contained cooking area, or as a place to get away from mosquitos & other insects.

There are three large entries to this annex giving you unlimited access no matter where you pull up, plus it has rear access so you can get to your vehicle without stepping outside. Both sides have double D-doors and the front has a massive single entry with a privacy door that can convert to an awning extension for extended shade and shelter (telescopic alloy poles sold separately). All front and side entries have dual-zippered privacy and fine mesh doors that will give you plenty of ventilation while keeping insects at bay.

Like all Darche gear, it’s built to last. Made from durable 210D ripstop polyester Oxford, it can hold its own in harsh environments. The Retreat Annex also has an impressive PU 3000mm water rating and all seams are heat sealed to keep you dry in rainy conditions. It features a removable 600gsm welded PVC bucket floor with adjustable corner points to suit various vehicle heights.

Finally, the Retreat Annex is fully compatible with 270 and 180 wall kits, giving you the ultimate in four-season shelter and providing more protection from insects and moisture than awning walls alone.

SAFETY NOTE: Ensure that the Eclipse Retreat Annex is pegged down at all times using the included hardware. Extra care must be taken in inclement weather to ensure the awning is not overloaded by wind or snow build-up.

INSTALLATION NOTE: Minor modification is required for awnings manufactured before Nov 2020 (instructions included.) This product is not compatible with the Eclipse 180V Compact Awning, or Eclipse Slimline pull-out awnings.

WHERE IT ALL BEGAN

In 1991, Darche revolutionized the traditional swag market with the introduction of the Dome style swag. DARREN O’DWYER, the founder of Darche with his wife CHERYL (DAR-CHE), embarked on an eastern Australia journey. Wanting a shelter arrangement that was quick, practical and easy to stow, Darren used his imagination and created a canvas shell with fiberglass poles and the dome style swag was born. Darren realized he required a suitable and purpose-built factory arrangement in order to suffice demand. Using Australian supply chain partners, Darche became the leading swag and canvas converter in Australia

Today Darche is proudly owned by the Charles Parsons Group who have been actively involved for over 20 years in supplying textile and trim componentry to Darche. Darche is overseen by experienced textile product developers, business strategists and passionate staff who are keen outdoor enthusiasts with sound knowledge and experience to match.

WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT?

Darche’s growth and shortage of experienced canvas converters and local machinists, has seen Darche establish reputable off shore assembly and supply chain partners. Operating from four major plants purposely selected and audited by Darche. Machinists, assemblers, finishers, tool makers and QA/QC supervisors are included in our required workforce of over 180 people over our four plants. It is vitally important to note Darche do not use Trading Houses or vertical arrangements off shore to source product. We at Darche develop all product prototypes in Australia and are involved from concept through to market release. Utilizing Charles Parsons accredited laboratories and leading processes, all developments are then vigorously tested at the Thomastown facility and again in real life situations by developers.
